Pira in Other Countries

  People with the family name ‘Pira’, not related by blood to the Pira family in the Philippines, are found in different countries. In fact, I exchanged on Facebook messages with a Gerry Pira in New Zealand in 2009.  I have also been interacting on Facebook with a Pira family in Columbia South America since 2012. Children of Nemesio & Lumen: (from left) Agnes,    Rodolfo, Jose, Geronimo, Evelio, Petra, and Lourdes     Between 1861 and 1920, the Pira family name was found in the USA, the UK, Canada, and Scotland. The most Pira families were found in the USA in 1920. In 1891 there were 2 Pira families living in Norfolk, England. This was about 67% of all the recorded Pira's in the UK. Why Create a Family History

Great Blessing Children should consider having their family history written. This can be a great blessing to the living family members and those who come after them. Its readers learn from the events, thoughts, and growth in the lives of the subject family members, even from those things that may otherwise seem trivial. This was a consideration behind the plan to write a Nemesio Pira & Lumen Pira family history (or biography or story). The couple got married in 1928 and had 8 children.
